@davidmthekidd I may be contacting? you soon to verify how to get the infor streamed to my Ipad and such If you don’t mind….
@CARLGULA – It sounds like you need to contact Tech Support. It is hard to tell from this quick comment where the problem is with your device or with one of the services.? The Home Media is usually extremely easy to set up after you install the Manager software – it goes out and automatically maps drive letters on your computer. Please do chat with our Support team, and they can help you out!
i just got the 2TB version & i can not get it to connect at all..it connected to the setup website once but it wasn’t stable..so idk what to do :’(?
Are you trying to set it up as a media server or connect to it from your computers? Installing the Storage Manager is the best way to discover the device from your PC or Mac. If you? are trying to “locate” the unit from another media player, check out our website for instructions.
@eagle102938 Yes? you can!
Is it possible to use the USB 2.0 connection at the back of it in order to hook up to a computer for file transfers? Or is it only? for the print server?
I own one. I highly recommend it, a plus.? I usually stream media to my iPad, and other devices. The FTP feature On it is stelllar. A plus.
@iGlaube Home Media works with the Retrospect backup software that came with the drive and with the Time Machine? software on your Mac. If you are having problems with either of these, check out the Iomega support site. There are articles addressing both approaches.
Hi there. I bought an Iomega external hard rive only recently. I have files stored on it which are primarily Windows OS based. I am currently using a mac though and will be for a while. When I tried to back up my files on the mac to the hard drive it wouldn’t let me. However, it will allow me to transfer my files from the? hard drive onto the mac. Is there any way to fix this?
@Antzvideoz As? long as the ethernet plug is connected back to a router, yes.
Instead of connecting? one of these to a router could I connect it to an ethernet plug?
This looks like an excellent drive. I’ve been a big Iomega fan since I got my first Zip? Drive!
io have? this hard drive .. and it dont have a network cable .. it has a usb conection
in active folders (use home media manager? system tray icon to configure/browse to this). Then add a new folder down the bottom (will only be demo folder listed if upgraded to 2.06 firmware)
yeah -? there’s nothing about the 1-click sharing on the website (I upgraded the firmware – have a few new active folders but that’s it!) – might post this comment to getsatisfaction
How does 1-click sharing work to Facebook??
Nice! ? Now THAT’S a good video.
